Stop for humor

I thought that this news story was just too cute. Oaklawn, Ill. has started adding smaller signs like the one in this photo to its stop signs in an attempt to curb people running stop signs. (Want to read the short story? Click here.) There are other signs one of which says "And smell the roses." It would be even more interesting if we'll see a follow-up on this in a couple months time to see what — if any — imapct this has.

Who knows? it may work for a while. Curiousity may hold a few people who want to see what the other sign says.

scratchie, it's sad that they have to resort to that though. especially when you look and see that in the background of the pic i have up there's a school.

(that and the article said that while the mayor was doing a photo op at the sign someone ran it anyway!)

Hmmm, I think we need some of those here in JA.

Jamaican Dawta, bwoy I dunno. At first glance yes, but then think of all the rear-ending accidents when the ppl behind the person who's stopped fly into the back of their car.

Nowadays is like everybody don't expect anybody else to stop so them getting ready to bruck the stop sign too
